I also like to build fifties custom cars. Here is a 1950 Chevy coupe that I had. I transferred the grill, portholes and taillights from a 1950 Buick, it had a Buick motor and automatic transmission.
This is my daughter Rachel and the Chevy coupe.
This is a 1956 Buick custom that I built with late model Buick frame and 455 engine. Was going to Iowa rod run, trailered one of my Harleys behind it.
Another picture of the 56 Buick, I have done body and paint work for a living most of my life. I replaced 56 headlights with 54 headlights, with home made custom grill, this was a fun car.
Here I am standing in a chariot that was pulled by two Harley Davidson panheads. It was built in the late 60's by Thompson and Hall custom body shop where I worked. The owner and builder was Doug Thompson who I consider the best custom car builder ever. It was a privlege to work for this man
This was my 1960 panhead that I built a lot of my bikes looked similiar, because this was the style I liked best.
Here I am with my 1964 panhead, it looked a lot like the 1960.
Here I am with the old man of the mountain his name was Jack Barnes and I grew up watching him hill climb. Easyrider magazine done an article on him being the old man of the mountain. Thats his old knucklehead Harley hill climber sitting in front of us I have done some hill climbing myself and it was a privilege to know this man.
In this picture if you look close you can see Jack standing beside me looking up the hill telling me the best road to take.
He must have given me the right instructions because this is me and my Harley sportster hill climber coming over the top. This was at Holt MO hill climb.
This was my last Harley, when I bought it, it was fully dressed and I rode it to Sturgis in 1988.
More pictures later if I can find them, thanks for viewing pictures of my past toys.
