Pictures loaded on this page Oct. 8, 02.

The pictures above and the one on the left is a chassis I purchased that was being built in the mid 60's by Ed McVay of Kansas City, who was a well known sprint and midget race car driver and builder. This car was going to be a rear engine sprint car with full independent rear suspension. Building on this car was stopped because of a ban on rear engine cars. I am not sure what I will do with this chassis since the car was not completed. I just like having it because it was being built by Ed McVay at his welding shop which was just a block or two from the Olympic stadium.
The next found treasure pictures below are of an old 60's supermodified I picked up and restored  back to racing once again and you can find out more and see more pictures on my 2002 # 4 project page
This picture shows how much brush and limbs we had to remove to bring this car out in the open.
Finally got the old super loaded onto my car hauler and headed for home, don't forget to check my projects page and my before and after page.
The next treasure pictures below are of another old supermodified that a friend of mine found and sold to me as he knows how much I want to save all of the old racing history that I can.
The picture above shows how it was sitting when my friend found it. It is now stripped of all parts and sitting in my shop waiting for some of my attention.
The picture above shows the car as it was last raced. I am sure that it had been raced in earlier years without a wing. I have been told this car raced in Marshall MO. and would appreciate any help from anyone with info about this car. I hope to put this car back together and race it in my vintage club a time or two.
