New Projects for the winter 2001-2002
As some people know, I finished my 36 Chevy coupe and I am still working on some of the old projects as time permits. Some projects have priority over some of the old ones. I will try to update pictures on my progress as soon as possible.  Also if you have followed my website you can see I have been busy promoting my new vintage race car club, so please be patient with my build pictures as I am only one man and I work on these projects in my spare time, which don't seem to be enough lately.

Here is my last finished project and my six year old son, Levi, says he wants one just like it. Except just a little bit smaller.
So here we are starting to fit a few pieces together and taking a few measurements to see just how big this race car will have to be.
Well I can see we have done about all we can  do for now, so we had better go find some more parts and will have more pictures next week. .

This week we have built bumpers and part of the roll cage.
It looks like Levi is going to fit nice and tight in his little race car. We are going to put a quick disconnect steering wheel to make it easier for him to get in and out.
Now we are really making some progress with new rear axle and tires and wheels. Also we have mounted front steering box and built axle and spindles, so far everything seems to be going together quite well.  So it's out for more parts and will have more pictures next week.

Well Levi just couldn't wait another whole week to add some more progress pictures. So here you can see where we have built steel rod frame work for the body.
As of now it looks like a skelaton race car, but I will be adding the skin soon. It is taking shape as an old early coupe but because of the wheel base and my lack of expierence in sheet metal body building I don't suppose it will look exactly like my 36 Chevy coupe, but it will be something similiar to it.
Even though Levi is pretty small we will have to be able to raise the body so he can get in and out. Well I guess I better get it back inside and get out the torch and welder and get started so we can have more progress pictures soon.
