Above are two pictures of Olympic past and present. On the left is a picture from 1955 and on the right is what is know as U Wrench It auto salvage. Part of the original building still stands where the autos are crushed and processed. This place is  a constant reminder of what people call progress and a reminder to me each day of something from the past that I loved so much. It is a reminder to me each day, as this large auto salvage is how I make my living towing cars to be recycled. I only live about two blocks from the old race track site, on top of a big hill, where I at one time could see the cars going around the track from my front porch. Even when I was not able to afford a ticket it sure was great to hear the roar of the engines on sunday night. I will be adding more pictures and more info on people and race cars that raced at this track in the near future. .II would like to say thanks once again to my friend Jim Penney, who has turned a few laps in his days, for helping me with my site and contributing many photos and info about the way things used to be and how great it was.
